  1. Task 1 Let’s make a meme

A "meme" is something that's shared on the internet, and it usually has three parts: a picture, a caption, and a dash of humour. In this activity, you'll make your own meme using a bit of HTML and your own creativity. Thimble, Mozilla's code editor, makes it easy.

    Task

    1. Click the "Remix" button. This will open Thimble. You'll see a simple meme we created to get you started.
    2. Follow the steps in the tutorial, it will walk you through how to make changes to the code, which will change your meme.
    3. Done! Once you're finished, you can save your work and share it. Log in and hit "Publish".

    Evidence

Share a link to your remixed meme or take a screenshot of your creation!

  2. Task 2 Make a movie poster

Seen a movie or read any good books lately? Make a web page with your glowing (or vicious) review. Learn a little code along the way.

  3. Task 3 Make your first web page

You've probably seen hundreds (if not thousands) of web pages. All of them are written in a language called HTML. It's easy to start messing around with HTML. In this activity, you'll make a basic web page in about 60 seconds or less, using Thimble, Mozilla's free HTML power tool.

    Task

    1. Click the "Remix" button. This will open Thimble. You'll see a simple web page we created to get you started. The code is on one side, the page preview is on the other.
    2. Follow the steps. The tutorial will walk you through how to make changes to the code.
    3. Done! Once you're finished, you can save your work and share it. Log in and hit "Publish".
